What is product diversion?
In the beauty industry, diversion is the sale of products that end up at “unauthorized” places. These places include eBay, Amazon and various online websites known as the “gray” market.
What does diversion mean?
Products that are bought through the “gray” market may look, feel, smell the same and can also be cheaper. They can even have the identical packaging. Would you buy discounted medication that may harm you? No, so why would you compromise your skin for discounted skincare products? Can consumers tell if its the same product? No, you can’t! This is why the safest place to purchase your products is from an authorized dealer. Discounted products could be counterfeit, expired, diluted or could possibly have been exposed to extreme conditions which effects the efficacy of the ingredients.
Where to buy professional skincare?
The best place to buy professional skincare is from the spa, esthetician or doctor’s office. If you are sick what do you do? You go see a doctor. The same applies here. When you need help with your skin you should go see a professional so they can help you find the right product for your skin concern. You shouldn’t just use what your friend is using. Everyone is different and their skin reacts differently to products. Guidance from a professional is well worth it.
